Promote the Youth Foundation is a proud to be recognized by the United States Olympics Committee as a Community Olympic Development Program partner for figure skating. Promote the Youth Foundation is committed to the proper development of youth athletics in the community via:
- Grassroots Campaigns
- Long Term Athletic Development Research
- Athletic Performance Testing and Talent Identification programs most commonly known as Athletic Combines
Using sport for social development Promote the Youth Foundation is committed to the advancement and continued education of young athletes in our communities.
Selected students will receive scholarships from Promote the Youth Foundation for months of training. Training will take place at designated approved facilities and will be targeted for the specific needs of each student group.
Currently, Promote the Youth offers a Grass Roots Program for U.S. Figure Skating Basic Skills Program located at Extreme Ice Center.
Promote the Youth Foundation awards scholarships based on athletic potential and financial need to high potential athletes. These scholarships fund high performance training at highly certified facilities.

The Athletic Performance Testing and Identification program (APTI) will be managed by USPC to allow students from the city of Charlotte, North Carolina an opportunity to test their skills in a pro-style environment using state of the art equipment and highly trained USPC staff. USPC is experienced in running these testing and experience environments (referred to as “combines”) and has done so for other area schools and sport specific organizations.
